Pension Update: Pakistan’s cabinet approves 15pc increment for retired employees

ISLAMABAD – The federal cabinet on Wednesday approves 15 raise in pensions of government employees for Budget 2024-25.

Pension Update in Budget 2024-25

The cabinet approved significant salary hikes for federal government employees, with 25 percent increase for grades 1 to 16 and a 20 percent increase for grades 17 to 22.

Provincial governments are expected to follow suit and increase pensions for their employees by 15 percent as well.

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif is expected to announce both decisions during his parliamentary address later today.
