Special Assistant to Chief Minister on Information Dr Firdous Ashiq Awan on Wednesday said that the umbrella alliance of PDM is composed of the “alligators of corruption” which had weakened the foundations of the country in their respective tenure.
The SACM said the corruption stories of the paterfamilias of boy-prince and the Jati Umra queen are known to everyone. Both used to term each other as ‘mister ten per cent’ and ‘Ali Baba 40 Chor;’ and it is the irony of fate that those who had registered corruption cases against each other in the past are finagling against the PTI government now. The people are perplexed that yesterday’s enemies have become cohorts for some political gains, she said and continued that they should be ashamed of their past misdeeds, she added.
The SACM said the demigods of corruption have been fully exposed by the PM Imran Khan and vowed to expose the misdeeds of the looters as the PDM is responsible for spreading corona by holding public meetings. Meanwhile, the number of corona patients has reached 104258 in the province as 665 new cases were reported and 24 others died of the corona during the last 24 hours. The total number of deceased patients is 4184, she added.
Meanwhile, the SACM said that the real change has taken place in Punjab as the government has broken the nexus between labour inspectors’ and factory owners. Now all the affairs of labour department are being run in a transparent manner by shifting them to automation. The previous government kept the children of labourers away from education so that they could continue their looting and plundering. The labour department by providing education to the children of labourers is giving practical shape to Prime Minister’s vision of “Do Nahi Eik Pakistan”.
These views were expressed by Special Assistant to CM while addressing a joint press conference flanked by Provincial Minister for Labour & Human Resource Ansar Majeed Khan at Punjab Social Security Head Office here on Wednesday.
Talking to media, Dr Firdous said that educated child of a labour was a threat to those who were in power for generations. The Prime Minister Imran Khan and Chief Minister Usman Budar were true patriotic and determined to resolve the problems of common people, she added.
Responding to a question, she said that Shehbaz Sharif quoted the verses of the late poet Habib Jalib “Main Nahi Janta, Main Nahi Manta” in response to every question asked by the NAB. She said that the resignations of the opposition members were just a sham and political drama of PDM.
Later, addressing the Kashmir Conference at the Governor House, the Special Assistant said that Kashmir was jugular vein of Pakistan and an important pillar of Pakistan’s foreign policy.
She said that Pakistan reaffirmed its abiding commitment to the Kashmir cause and its political, diplomatic and moral support to the people of Occupied Jammu & Kashmir for realization of their inalienable right to self-determination. Dr Firdous said that the Prime Minister Imran Khan had raised the Kashmir issue at every international forum but silence of the international community on atrocities committed by the Indian Army on Kashmiris was a question mark.
Every individual had to play its role to project and promote the Kashmir cause at all levels, she added.
