BEIJING – Pakistani boxer Usman Wazeer stunned the world with his latest victory over India’s Thilak Selvam as he finished the high stakes match in just one minute and five seconds.
The contest held in Bangkok, Thailand saw Pakistani ace boxer taking control from the opening bell, as he put Selvam in a grinding machine.
Despite Selvam’s attempt to recover, Wazeer’s relentless charge prompted referee to halt the contest, declaring Wazeer the winner by technical knockout.

Wazeer’s feat marks his fourteenth consecutive win, solidifying his status as a rising star in professional boxing. The boxer now aims to expand his accolades, which include the World Youth Title, Asian Title, and Middle East Title.
After the fight, Usman Wazeer expressed his desire for improved ties between Pakistan and India, calling on the leaders of arch-rivals to work towards peace and understanding.

Usman Wazeer is a Pakistani professional boxer who began his career in 2018, debuted in 2019 in the welterweight division and quickly made a name for himself.
He became the first Pakistani to win the Asian Boxing Federation Welterweight Title after defeating Boido Simanjuntak by TKO, and successfully defended his title against Carlos Lopez on December 19, 2020, winning when Lopez was unable to continue due to injury. In 2021, Wazeer aimed to become the first Pakistani boxer to compete for a world youth title.
