Jamaat-e-Islami Ameer Sirajul Haq said on Sunday that the entire Pakistani nation was worried because of the country’s situation. Speaking to media in Gujrat, he said it was extremely unfortunate that despite the fact that Pakistan was an agricultural country, there was a shortage of flour, sugar, water and electricity here.
“Things have come to such a pass where the voters of all three major political parties namely PML-N, PPP and PTI are perturbed,” he said, adding, “Only the ruling elite is prosperous.”
He regretted that whether it was the present government or those preceding it, all governments made Pakistan ‘slave’ of the IMF. “Today everybody, including the president and the prime minister, are seen saying that situation in Pakistan is precarious,” Siraj said.
