Pakistan’s foreign reserves increase by $21mn

KARACHI – The State Bank of Pakistan’s (SBP) liquid foreign reserves reached $7,040.8 million as of December 08, 2023.

As per the data released by the SBP on Thursday, central bank’s foreign reserves increased by $21 million during the week.

Net foreign reserves held by the commercial banks stood at $5,165.6 million as of December 08, 2023.

As such, total liquid foreign reserves held by Pakistan stood at $12,206.4 million as of December 08, 2023.

Last week, SBP’s liquid foreign reserves reached $7,020.2 million after decreasing by $237 million due to the debt repayments.

Net foreign reserves held by the commercial banks stood at $5,086.9 million and as such total liquid foreign reserves held by Pakistan were $12,107.1 million as of December 01, 2023.
