Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Senior Vice President Dr. Shireen Mazari criticized the PML-N government that the cabal of crooks when in opposition resorted to blackmailing tactics and opposed the much-needed Financial Action Task Force (FATF) related legislations.
In a statement issued from PTI Central Media Department here on Saturday, she said that government can try to take undue credit for the landmark achievements but Pakistan knew them well, as they opposed the FATF Bills in Parliament in 2020.
She said that all these crooks including Hina Rabbani Khar walked out of the house in protest when Imran Khan and his team were fighting to get Pakistan off the FATF grey list despite of the fact that Pakistan was put in the grey list during the rule of PML-N.
Shireen Mazari stated that they opposed the FATF related legislations in a bid to blackmail PTI government for NRO, as they wanted to make amendments of their choice in National Accountability Bureau (NAB).
She asked Hina Rabbani to show some decency and thanked Imran Khan and PTI government for burning midnight oil to ensure FATF action plans to rescue Pakistan after PMLN government landed the country on grey list.
However, Shireen Mazari thanked the government especially Hina Rabbani Khar for eventually realizing the importance of Pakistan’s exiting from FATF grey list, because they tried to create stumbling blocks to disturb the PTI government’s efforts to get the country out of the grey list.
