Islamic occasions like Eid-ul-Adha saw huge numbers of passengers traveling to their native towns to spend quality time with their loved ones. People mostly travel on buses and trains.

To pass on relief for inflation hit people, Railways announced 25 percent fare reduction for passengers traveling during the upcoming Eid-ul-Adha festivities. The discount applies to all classes of regular passenger trains but excludes special Eid ul Adha trains.

The initiative aims to make rail travel more accessible and affordable, allowing citizens to celebrate Eid with their loved ones. The reduced fares will be available for current bookings and apply on all three days of Eid-ul-Adha.

A statement issued by Railways confirmed fare reduction as part of its dedication to serving the people of Pakistan. By lowering the cost of rail travel, Railways aim to enhance the joy and celebrations of Eid.

Previously, on May 21, the Railways Department announced a fare reduction across various classes due to a decline in diesel prices. This reduction, effective immediately, benefited passengers traveling distances from one to 200 kilometers, with notable reductions in the economy and AC classes.
