Pakistan goes to much-anticipated elections on Feb 8 in shadow of militancy and uncertainty, but authorities are hopeful for formation of a new government that will steer the country from crises.
General Elections, which are delayed by a year, come as the country faces soaring challenges from economic uncertainty while hundreds of terror attacks to climate catastrophes that are putting millions at risk.
All arrangements for general elections are completed as one hundred and twenty millions registered voters will cast vote for National Assembly and four Provincial Assemblies. Over 90000 polling stations have been formed across the country.
Polling Time in Pakistan
The timings, as per Election Commission of Pakistan, will be from 8am in the morning till 5pm. The polling will be held for 9 hours without any interval.
In Lahore, Karachi, Peshawar, Quetta and other cities, citizens are advised to visit polling stations at 8am to avoid long queues.
ECP or any other official has not announced any news about extension in the polling time.
