Pakistan decides to block these mobile phone SIMs; details inside

ISLAMABAD – Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi has ordered an action against the unverified mobile phone SIMs in the country to avoid their illegal usage.

The minister visited the National Database Registration Authority (Nadra) headquarters where he issued the orders for block the mobile phones SIMs issued against expired national identity cards in the country.

Naqvi also directed the authorities to establish model Nadra offices across the country like model police station built in Punjab.

He said the establishment of model police stations in Punjab has not only provided facilities to public but also improved the police image.

The interior minister announced that fee for death certificate is being abolished, adding that a simple system will be introduced for issuance of birth, marriage and divorce certificates with the help of union councils.

He said protection of citizens data will be ensured at all costs.

Which SIMs will be blocked in Pakistan?

As per latest instructions, the government will blocked the SIMs issued against expired ID cards.

When Will such SIMs be Blocked?

The government is yet to issue details about when it will start blocking such mobile phone SIMs.
