ISLAMABAD – Pakistan Civil Aviation Authority (PCAA) has awarded licences to four new private airlines as the government aims at promoting tourism in the country.
The licenses have been granted to Kashmir Air, Alwair Airways, ASSL Air and North Air. The airlines, in the first phase, will operate flights Lahore, Karachi, and Islamabad.
In the second phase, they will operate flights to tourist spots like Gilgit Baltistan, Mohenjodaro, Skardu and Gandhara.
The new airlines will use helicopters, fixed-wings, and rotary-wing planes for flights.
