Special Assistant to the Chief Minister Punjab on Information and Spokesperson to the Punjab Government Hasaan Khawar on Thursday said that the Opposition has failed to divert attention from real issues under the guise of the recent report of Transparency International on Pakistan devoid of any actual public survey.
While responding to the statements of Hamza Shahbaz, maintained that the ongoing process of accountability will go on unhindered despite PMLN’s hue and cry, as it was the policy of the whole party and not the personal agenda of one individual.
Hasaan Khawar said that PMLN deliberately acts naive when asked about contracts awarded on double rates and foreign trips with their favorite people in chartered planes during its regime. He stated that till date no PML-N leader has given any clear answer regarding heaps of money deposited into the accounts of personal employees of Sharif family. On the contrary, Prime Minister Imran Khan, when asked, not only provided a complete money trail regarding his residence, but also appeared before Court the same day he was summoned, thus setting a new example of respect for institutions.
He further stated that bringing a motion of no-confidence against the Government is the constitutional right of the Opposition but everyone knows that a non-united Opposition is ‘all show and no go’ in this scenario. He also said that our allies are standing united with us; there is no threat to the government from PDM.
