Punjab Governor Chaudhry Sarwar on Thursday said that the opposition should not politicize the issues of national security.
“India is conspiring against peace in Balochistan and other provinces of the country to destabilize Pakistan but it will be her daydream.”
Punjab Governor Ch Sarwar was addressing a Siratun Nabi (PBUH) conference at Al-Hamra and later talking to the media after the conference at a local hotel here.
The governor said that India is the enemy of Pakistan and all political and religious parties should unite against it on every forum. He stressed that the UN should enact strict legislation to stop the publication of blasphemous images.
Punjab Minister for Auqaf and Religious Affairs Syed Saeedul Hassan Shah and others also participated in the conference.
Answering questions raised by journalists, Governor Chaudhry Sarwar said that the opposition should tell what it wants. “Have you ever heard that the opposition has said that health issues should be fixed? We have been given a five-year mandate. We will not go before time. The opposition does not want to resolve national issues. It only wants to overthrow the government, but the government will not go anywhere until 2023.”
The Punjab governor said that India has always been the enemy of peace in Pakistan. Today, India’s relations with all of its neighbors have been at the lowest ebb which in fact reflects the India’s fascist mind. Whenever a country is destroyed, its army is weakened first.
The governor said that all the conspiracies of the opposition are not in the interest of the country rather it seems they want to please their foreign masters.
The opposition may hold protests and rallies, but they should not engage in politics and rhetoric against national security issues. He said that 220 million Pakistanis are proud of the Armed Forces of Pakistan who are eradicating terrorism from the country and also ensuring e defense of the country. Today, there is a need for all political and religious parties to stand with the security forces for security and complete elimination of terrorism, Ch Sarwar added.
Addressing Sireetun Nabi (PBUH) Conference, the Punjab governor Ch Sarwar said that the Holy Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) is the center of love and devotion for the Muslims. He (PBUH) came to this world as the greatest blessing for humans in general and Muslims in particular. The Muslim Ummah has been offering Durood-e-Salam to the Holy Prophet (PBUH) at every moment for centuries to express gratitude for this great blessing of Allah Almighty and this process will continue forever.
