Graana Group of Companies, Pakistan’s leading real estate development group, has appointed Omar Abedin as Chief Marketing Officer. Abedin has worked with brands across multiple categories on various aspects of marketing and sales. He has developed and launched three startups, including Middle East’s first battery replacement service. Abedin was previously CEO at Starcom Mediavest, and was more recently the Director Marketing at Careem.
Graana Group Chairman and CEO Shafiq Akbar welcomed Omar Abedin on board, and expressed his hopes that this addition to the Graana family will bid well for the company. He said that Abedin has previously worked on developing strong, powerful brands, and will be a great addition to the group. He stated that Abedin will work on the expansion of Graana, and will take forward the vision of RE2020.
RE2020 is an initiative by Graana that aims to bring over 100 investment projects to Pakistan across multiple sectors including real estate, tourism, arts & culture, energy, technology, and more. The key stakeholders of RE2020 will include the Government, media, academia, and international, industrial and economic partners.
Graana Group Director Farhan Javed said that with Abedin’s prior experience and incredible skillset, Graana is looking forward to growing even more, and with leaps and bounds. He said that Abedin’s addition to the group will further Graana’s cause of revolutionizing the real estate sector of Pakistan.
Omar Abedin, the new CMO, expressed his appreciation at being taken on board Graana. He said that he has great respect for Graana’s vision and ambition to bring a revolution to the real estate industry in Pakistan.
