New Zealand will invest in quantum technology research through an ambitious and internationally-connected program, according to the Ministry of Business, Innovation and Employment (MBIE) on Wednesday.
The program to leverage New Zealand’s niche expertise in quantum technology research will receive up to 12 million NZ dollars (7.07 million U.S. dollars) of government funding over the next five years, said a statement from the ministry.
The Quantum Technologies Research Program will be developed by the University of Otago’s Dodd-Walls Center for Photonic and Quantum Technologies—AFP
