Another incident of alleged gang rape came to light in Lahore on Friday night when two accused raped a Sheikhupura resident girl in a local hotel after offering her a job.
According to police, the accused Hassan and Irfan offered a job to a girl and called her to a hotel in Lahore Railway Station area. A case has been registered against the accused at Nolakha police station and investigations are underway. The victim said that she was offered a job by the accused.
Punjab IG Police Inam Ghani took notice of the alleged gang rape of a girl and sought report from CCPO Lahore within 24 hours of the incident. IG Punjab directed CCPO to arrest the accused as soon as possible and take strict legal action.
It is to be noted that another incident happened at Jarranwala road in the suburb of Lahore when a girl was lured by beasts a couple of days back. The girl was standing on the road when the bus broke down. The accused took the girl to village Basidhar and raped her along with four of his accomplices. The kidnappers threw the victim naked in the fields after rape. Upon receiving the report of the incident, the police rushed to the spot and shifted the victim to the hospital for medical treatment.
The Mangtanwala Police have registered a case against two nominees and four unidentified persons at the request of the victim’s sister Musarat Bibi. Police have formed teams to arrest the accused.
Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Bazdar has taken stern notice of the incident of rape of a girl within the limits of Mangtanwala Police and sought a report of the incident from RPO Sheikhupura.
