NIU observed Kashmir Solidarity Day

Nur International University Lahore organized Kashmir Day in NIU Auditorium. The day was marked to express solidarity with the people of Indian held Kashmir who continue to suffer the denial of basic human rights and their self-determination in accordance with UN resolutions which remained as relevant today as they did decades ago.

Malik Siddique Mahmood (Patron Dramatics Society) hosted the event. He welcomed the students and guest speakers and explains the purpose of the Kashmir day and why we celebrate it.

A documentary was shown to the students about the history of the Kashmir which reflects its beauty and demo-geographic importance.

Mr. Hassan-bin-Saadat (Faculty of Ecology) delivered a very powerful speech relevant to the event which elevated the emotions of the audience. Lastly, reaffirmed Pakistan’s firm support to the people of Kashmir in their just struggle for seeking their right of self-determination in accordance with the UN resolutions. She emphasized that Pakistan is committed to seeking a just and peaceful settlement of the Kashmir dispute in accordance with the aspirations of the people of Jammu and Kashmir.
