KARACHI – Pakistani actress Nimra Khan praised former actress Zarnish Khan’s choice to wear the hijab, saying that the people should learn from her example to understand the true meaning of hijab.
Recently, Nimra Khan participated in a podcast where she discussed various topics, including her own abduction.
She explained that the concept of hijab involves fully covering the body and face, and is not just about partially covering the hair and face. She emphasized that the purpose of hijab is not limited to hiding just the hair but also involves covering everything from head to toe, including the eyes.
Nimra Khan cited Zarnish Khan as an example, noting that despite having a successful career, Zarnish chose to leave it all behind and embrace the hijab. She pointed out that Zarnish does not share reels (short videos) while wearing the hijab.
Nimra further remarked that many women and young girls adopt hijab as a fashion statement, often pairing it with jeans and shirts and even applying makeup. She stressed that this is not the correct way to observe hijab.
The actress acknowledged that some people earn their livelihood through social media but she praised Zarnish for completely abandoning everything for her principles.
Nimra Khan expressed her respect for Zarnish’s decision, saying that few people have the courage to make such a commitment.
