DUBAI – The United Arab Emirates (UAE) Federal Authority for Government Human Resources (FAHR) has announced a public holiday on January 1, 2025, in connection with the New Year.
According to the post shared on micro-blogging platform X (former Twitter), government offices will remain closed on Wednesday, January 1, 2025, and will resume working on Thursday, January 2, 2025.
UAE’s Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation (MOHRE) also announced a holiday for private sector employees on January 1, 2025.
The initiative ensures both public and private sector employees have an opportunity to celebrate the New Year, fostering a culture of inclusivity across the UAE’s diverse workforce.
New Year holiday is part of the UAE’s official 2025 holiday calendar, which offers 13 public holidays during the year.
