LAHORE – The government of Pakistan issues passport to its citizens through the Directorate General of Immigration and Passports to facilitate their journey and provide them protection while travelling abroad. Normal fee for 36-page passport stands at Rs3,000.

Step-by-Step Process for New Passport Application

The applicant will go through the following steps at Regional Passport Offices in Pakistan for obtaining the new Machine Readable Passport (MRP):

Arrival of the Applicant at Customer Service Counter.

Fee Verification + Capturing of Photograph + Token Issuance

Biometrics/Finger Prints capture.

Data Entry.

Verification as per Office Record. (ECL/BL)

Interview and Decision by Assistant Director.
