Nawaz Sharif on Friday secured a significant victory, amassing an impressive 171,024 votes for NA 130. In a closely watched contest, Dr. Yasmeen Rashid, another candidate backed by PTI, garnered substantial support with 115,043 votes.
Maryam Nawaz, a prominent figure in the PML-N, emerged victorious with 83,855 votes. Her triumph in NA-119 underscores her continued influence and popularity among the electorate.
Pakistan Muslim League-N Senior Vice President and PML-N Chief Organizer Maryam Nawaz Sharif finally broke the silence on the results of Elections 2024 and said that PMLN emerged as the single largest party in centre.
In a post on X, formerly known as Twitter, Maryam Nawaz Sharif said: “As opposed to the false perception deliberately built by a section of media last night, PMLN, Alhamdulillah emerging as the single largest party in the centre and in Punjab.”
PML-N veteran Ahsan Iqbal won NA-76 Narowal with 136,279 votes, according to provisional results released by ECP. PTI-backed Javed Kholoon came second with 109,309 votes. But in a surprising turn of events Nawaz Sharif faced a significant defeat against independent candidate Shahzada Gastasap in NA-15 Mansehra. Unofficial reports from National Assembly Constituency NA-15 Mansehra revealed that Shahzada Gastasap secured victory with 74,713 votes, while Mian Nawaz Sharif garnered 63,054 votes.
Meanwhile, PML-N President Shehbaz Sharif has managed to secure national and provincial assembly seats in Lahore, as per unofficial results.
