Speaker Punjab Assembly Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi has said that services of national institutions must be appreciated as these institutions are rendering unparalleled services for the country and the nation.
“We are proud that national institutions are the guarantor of Pakistan’s security and working day and night for this.” Speaker Punjab Assembly Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi was talking to Punjab Parliamentary Secretary for Education Sajid Ahmad Khan Bhatti who called on him at his residence in Lahore on Sunday. Sajid Ahmad Khan Bhatti briefed the Speaker about the affairs of the department and the committee. The Speaker Punjab Assembly lauded the performance of Parliamentary Secretary.
On the occasion, Ch Pervaiz Elahi said that political leaders have to focus on people’s problems in the interest of the country instead of negative politics. He said that the members of the Assembly play a role in resolving the problems of the people in the House and the public issues are highlighted in a good manner with the strength of the parliamentary institutions.
Meanwhile, Pakistan Muslim League President and former prime minister Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain, Punjab Assembly Speaker Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi and MNA Moonis Elahi expressed deep sorrow over the death of Jamaat-e-Islami leader Hafiz Salman Butt. PML leaders in their condolence messages said, “We share the grief of Hafiz Salman Butt’s family. Hafiz Salman Butt was a democratic leader who loved Pakistan. His services for the welfare of labourers will always be remembered. We all pray to Allah Almighty to elevate the ranks of the deceased and grant you all patience.”
