Chief Minister Punjab Mohsin Naqvi performed the virtual groundbreaking for 40 state-of-the-art police stations in Sabzazar, simultaneously commencing construction at the Shirakot police station site with the use of an excavator. Accompanied by senior police officials, IG Usman Anwar briefed about the project.
Expressing his vision, the CM outlined plans for the construction of 22 smart police stations in Lahore and 18 in other cities across the province. Additionally, he highlighted the establishment of dispute resolution centers within these facilities to expedite the resolution of public grievances. Emphasizing inclusivity, he mentioned the provision of separate entrances for men and women.
Acknowledging the pressing need for these modernized police stations, the CM affirmed plans for their further expansion, recognizing them as imperative solutions for societal challenges.
Moreover, Chief Minister Punjab Mohsin Naqvi inaugurated the upgraded second and third floors, new lab and diagnostic center at the Punjab Institute of Cardiology (PIC), completed within a span of just 25 days, and appreciated secretary C&W, health secretary & commissioner Lahore for their hard work.
The roadside lab facility would supplement PIC’s quotidian revenue; he observed and ordered to provide amenities like refrigerators, chairs and TVs in private rooms during his inspection of different floors.
Expressing his satisfaction, the CM emphasized that the inauguration of the diagnostic center, accomplished in an unprecedented timeframe of two to three weeks, underscores the collective determination and collaboration among all stakeholders involved. Provincial Minister Javed Akram, IGP, CCPO and others were also present.
