Commissioner Karachi, Syed Hassan Naqvi, has instructed deputy commissioners to extend full support through enhanced coordination and cooperation to facilitate the timely completion of development projects in their respective districts. During his visit to the Malir and Korangi districts, he emphasized the importance of guiding relevant organizations to eliminate obstacles hindering project progress.
While inspecting various development initiatives—including the Korangi Causeway Bridge and three educational projects under the Annual Development Program—Naqvi visited several schools in Malir, including the Government Boys and Girls Primary and Secondary Schools in GulRana Goth and Sahib Dad Goth. He was accompanied by Deputy Commissioner MalirIrfan Salam, Deputy Commissioner KorangiMasood Bhutto, Director Finance of the Commissioner’s Office Naseem Bhutto, and other senior officials. During his visit, the commissioner urged the deputy commissioners to ensure that ongoing projects adhere to desired standards and legal requirements.
He reinforced these directives, extending them to the deputy commissioners of other districts as well. At the Malir schools, Naqvi specifically directed Deputy Commissioner Irfan Salam to address issues preventing schools from utilizing School Management Committee (SMC) funds effectively. He encouraged the use of corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiatives to enhance the science laboratory facilities at the government girls’ secondary school.
In Korangi, Naqvi inspected the under-construction Korangi Causeway Bridge, a significant infrastructure project with an allocation of over Rs. 4.67 billion.
