KARACHI – Pakistani model and actress Nadia Hussain on Thursday shared explanation about her controversial comments about playwright Khalil-ur-Rehman Qamar.
She made this explanation about the derogatory remarks about the playwright.
A video clip of Nadia Hussain went viral on social media, in which she discussed referring to Khalil-ur-Rehman Qamar as “disgraceful”.
The actress explained her choice of words, saying, “I intended to say disgraceful, but I mistakenly said Khalil.” When asked why she used the name ‘Khalil,’ she nonchalantly replied, “Because that word matched the sentiment I wanted to express.”
Nadia Hussain also stated that she did not specifically say the term was directed at Khalil-ur-Rehman Qamar. It is up to people to interpret it as they wish. While some believed she was referencing Khalil-ur-Rehman Qamar, she clarified that this was not the case. She created the video because she wanted to express her feelings openly.
