NA-130 results: Nawaz Sharif defeats Yasmin Rashid

LAHORE-Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) Supremo and former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has won the election in National Assembly constituency NA-130 according to unofficial and non-governmental results.

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf’s supported and former Punjab Provincial Minister Yasmeen Rashid has lost the election. Nawaz Sharif obtained 171,024 votes in NA-130, while Yasmeen Rashid could secure 115,643 votes.

The series of unofficial and non-governmental results in general elections is ongoing, and so far, according to the unofficial and non-governmental results of the National Assembly, PTI-supported independent candidates have won 21 seats, PML-N has won 12, and Pakistan Peoples’ Party has won 8 seats.

Several bigwigs and infamous politicians faced defeat in the elections.

PML-N President Shahbaz Sharif, Senior Vice President Maryam Nawaz, Pakistan Peoples Party’s Yousaf Raza Gilani, Murad Ali Shah, and Nafeesa Shah have succeeded while Sheikh Rohail Asghar, Abid Sher Ali, Jahangir Tareen, and Pervez Khattak have lost.

PML-N’s Anjum Aqeel Khan has succeeded from NA-46 Islamabad according to unofficial and non-governmental results, securing 39,564 votes while PTI-supported independent candidate remained second with 23,391 votes, and PPP candidate could secure 5,042 votes.

The Election Commission has issued a directive to all provincial election commissioners and returning officers, instructing them to announce all results within half an hour.
