PML-N MPA Sumera Komal on Thursday claimed that she was fired upon at pointblank and threatened with life when she tried to patch up a fight on Waris Road here in the provincial metropolis.
She and her husband arrived in the area to stop a fight between neighbourhood children. In the meanwhile, someone opened fire during the ruckus. MPA Komal said she was the target of the gunshot, which was fired not from too far.
She called the police to the area and said she will now file a case. In a video made at the scene, she holds an empty bullet casing and said it was fired on her.
She said other people were hurt in the fight as well, without specifying the extent of their injuries. The MPA said she will raise the issue in the assembly as well.
