The book launching ceremony of Muslims under Sikh rule in the Nineteenth Century held at Ghulam Muhammad Ghotvi Hall, Abbasi Campus, the Islamia University of Bahawalpur. Engr. Prof. Dr. Athar Mahboob, Vice Chancellor, the Islamia University of Bahawalpur presided the ceremony while the author of the book was Dr. Robina Yasmeen, Associate Professor, Department of Pakistan Studies, the Islamia University of Bahawalpur and she briefed about details and explain the sikh era.
Prof. Dr. Aftab Hussain Gillani, Dean Faculty of Law and Chairman Department of Pakistan Studies, Prof. Dr. Iqbal Chawla, former dean faculty of Arts & Humanities, university of Punjab Lahore and Faqir Saifuddin, Director Faqir Khana Museum, Lahore presented reviews on the book. Dr. Ismat Durrani, Chairperson Department of Persian and Advisor IUB Literary Society conducted the event.
The book also examines the relationship between Muslims and Sikhs who went through many ups and downs and suffered greatly at the end of British rule in India.
