LAHORE – Pakistani cricket team is under fire after disappointing T20 World Cup exit and now TV host and journalist Mubasher Lucman made serious allegations of match-fixing against players.
In his latest vlog on YouTube, the TV host wondered how Babar Azam got expensive Audi worth 80 million rupees, saying it was reportedly a gift from his brother.
Lucman also fired salvo at several others including Wahab Riaz, Shahid Afridi, Shaheen Afridi, Inzamam Ul Haq, Saqlain Mushtaq, and Mushtaq Ahmed for their alleged involvement in match-fixing.
He was of view that Babar XI deliberately lost matches to the USA and India during the T20 World Cup to make money, as he linked it with buying property in Australia and UAE. He opined that eight players admitted to not performing intentionally, and named a corporation for blackmailing Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB).
The journalist further said several players managed to get central contracts worth 6 million after blackmailing board members. He also shared insights of fraction among Green Shirts over huge differences in perks.
Pakistani players are yet to respond to the journalist after the shocking allegations about fixing in World Cup.
