The Muttahida Qaumi Movement Pakistan (MQM-P) and the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) have agreed to conduct a new census across the country. Towards this end a committee has been formed under the chairmanship of Amin ul Haque.
A PTI delegation, led by Sindh Governor Imran Ismail, arrived at the MQM headquarters in Bahadurabad and met Dr Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui, convener of Muttahida Qaumi Movement and members of the coordination committee.
Talking to media, Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui said that both the parties have agreed on the decision to conduct census again.
Criticizing opposition, he said that they failed to do anything on the issue of census at least let them protest. He said that the party which filed a petition against the census and withdrew it later is now protesting. Governer Sindh Imran Ismail said that it is good news for the citizens that the census would be held soon.
