LAHORE – National cricket team’s wicketkeeper-batsman Mohammad Rizwan on Monday was appointed as captain of Canada Global T20 League.
According to details, the Vancouver Knights team in the Canada Global T20 League announced the appointment of wicketkeeper-batsman Mohammad Rizwan as captain.
The development took place after poor performance of Pakistan team in recent ICC T20 World Cup 2024 and the national cricket was badly neglected.
After being appointed captain, the national team’s Babar Azam will now play under the leadership of Mohammad Rizwan. The Global T20 League will be played from July 25 to August 11.
The Vancouver Knights’ management, while announcing the captain, addressed Mohammad Rizwan with the title “Sir”. The Vancouver Knights squad also includes Asif Ali and Mohammad Amir, along with South Africa’s Dwaine Pretorius and Nepal’s Sandeep Lamichhane.
According to the Vancouver management, Sir Mohammad Rizwan is ready to lead the team to victory with his powerful batting and agile wicketkeeping.
The management also expressed their best wishes for Rizwan.
