MOFA Documents Attestation Fee increased in Pakistan; Check new charges here

ISLAMABAD – In another blow for citizens, Ministry of Foreign Affairs has jacked up rates for attestation of legal documents. The new fee is applied from July 8, 2024.

Foreign Office spokesperson said Ministry restarted attestation of educational documents, legal papers, and commercial documents starting from July 8, 2024 Monday. Pakistanis can use MOFA online system for attestation of legal documents. Liaison offices of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, including those in Lahore and Karachi, can also be approached for document attestation.

MOFA also abolished the condition of prior appointments for document attestation.

Details shared by Foreign Affairs said new charges for document attestation is Rs. 3,000, and Rs. 4,500 for legal documents, and Rs. 12,000 for commercial documents.

Note: Document attestation by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs is valid for 6 months. Make sure to attest documents against if not used within 6 months.
