Central Chairman of Marble Mines and Industries Development Association Muhammad Sajjad Khan has said that due to heavy taxes and fuel price adjustment, the electricity unit of marble industry has reached to 80 rupees. Which makes it difficult to run factories.
The people of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa are being robbed in the name of fuel price adjustment. He expressed these views while addressing the emergency meeting of Marble Mines and Industries Development Association (MMIDA).
A large number of manufacturers and MMIDA executive body members from Peshawar, Mardan, Bara Banda, Jehangira, Swabi, Buner, Abbottabad, Bajaur and other districts participated in the meeting.
In the meeting, keeping in mind the huge increase in the electricity bills, it was discussed that due to heavy taxes like fuel price adjustment, the marble industry has reached 80 rupees per unit. It is difficult to run factories at Rs 80 per unit. Khyber Pakhtunkhwa which is self-sufficient in terms of electricity generation and generates electricity at 50 paise per unit. But in the name of fuel price adjustment, the people of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa are being robbed.
