Minister appreciates working of HR&MA Dept

The Punjab Human Rights and Minorities Affairs Department hosted a farewell session in the honor of its outgoing secretary Tariq Mahmood at its committee room on Friday.
Punjab Minister Ijaz Alam Augustine paid a great tribute to Tariq Mahmood for delivering his services to guide and support. He said that the department always remembered the services of Tariq Mahmood regarding speedy completion of development projects and special interest to control the violation of human rights.
The minister said that every government servant has to retire one day but the filling of a gap like officer Tariq Mahmood, would be a difficult task.
In his address to the farewell session, Tariq Mahmood thanked the HR&MA staff for arranging such a beautiful event and said he felt pleasure to become a part of such a great unforgettable ceremony. He said being the secretary he focused on the protection of human rights in the province and the department had always provided fully support as needed.
He said that he served as a secretary in different departments but HR&MA Department was a wonderful as he enjoyed it a lot and now the department has achieved the excellent standard and talented team of human rights was really remarkable. ‘I hope that department will move forward swiftly in future’.
