RAWALPINDI – The prices of milk and yogurt have seen whooping increase in garrison city of Rawalpindi as dairy farmers’ union has announced new rates.
The union said the significant increase in the prices fodder for buffaloes, as well as taxes, are the major factors behind surge in the prices.
It said selling milk and yogurt at government rates is not feasible, adding that new prices will come into effect from August 2.
Milk and Yogurt New rates in Rawalpindi
The price of milk has been increased to Rs220 per litre while yogurt rate has been fixed at Rs240 per kilogrammej.
It is worth noting that the government has fixed the price for milk as Rs190 per liter and for yogurt is Rs200 per kilogram.
