Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) vice-president Maryam Nawaz led a rally on Thursday from Gajju Matta to Data Darbar. This comes ahead of the Pakistan Democratic Movement’s (PDM) public gathering in Lahore on December 13.
According to details, Maryam Nawaz departed from Jati Umrah. She addressed the workers at four places – starting from Gajju Matta. The rally was culminated at Data Darbar.
Earlier, PML-N spokesperson Marriyum Aurangzeb said the party workers are being arrested and Prime Minister Imran Khan along with the Punjab government will be responsible if the activists retaliate.
Marriyum Aurangzeb said Imran Khan used to claim that he will provide container to the opposition to stage protest and the government issues statements on daily basis of not stopping the rally but workers are being detained despite that.
“The government cannot stop the masses and it has already lost the psychological and democratic battle. Pakistan Democratic Movement will definitely hold the scheduled public gathering at Lahore’s Minar-e-Pakistan on December 13.”
Meanwhile, Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM) has decided in its meeting for the assembly members to submit their resignations with their party leaderships, PML-N leader Maryam Nawaz on Thursday said.
Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz didn’t yet formally demand for resignations from its parliamentarians, talking to media persons here she said.
“We will ask for resignations after December 13,” she said. “Resignations have already piled up with us as the MNAs and MPAs brought resignations along with them in party meeting,” PML-N vice president said.
