The Sahiwal Police claimed on Thursday to have traced the suspected murderer of a four-year-old girl.
The police said the murderer turned out to be father of the girl who was killed earlier this week. The suspect wanted to marry a woman residing in his neighbourhood, the police claimed.
“He deemed his daughter as an obstacle in the way of his marriage and that’s why he mercilessly killed her”, the police officials informed.
The police said a first information report (FIR) has been registered against the man and further investigation launched to ascertain more facts about the incident. They added no arrest has yet been made in the case so far.
