Low pressure area cause heavy rains in Badin

The Pakistan Meteorological Department has issued a weather advisory stating a low-pressure area, which described as “remnant of the cyclonic storm “Gulab”, was likely to re-emerge in Arabian Sea and cause widespread heavy rains across the district Badin.

Provincial Minister for Environment, Universities and Boards, Muhammad Ismail Rahu, who is chief minister’s focal person on rain emergency in Badin on Friday while presiding an important meeting on “review the arrangements for current spells of monsoon rains & post-rain operations” at Darbar Hall Badin directed the all concerned departments of district to remain high alert amid to avert the heavy rainfall and minimize the expected losses of the masses of district Badin.

Mr. Rahu directed the concerned authorities to assure proper dewatering of the rain water in different towns and cities of district adding that no any negligence of the officials to be tolerated in this context and stern action to be taken, he added.

While briefing to the provincial minister Sindh and chief minister’s focal person on rain emergency in Badin and others meeting participants.
