Staff Reporter Sindh Minister for Women Development Syeda Shehla Raza said that Dr. Jamil Jalibi was a great thinker, author and researcher of his time. He authored more than 40 books on various topics including Pakistani culture, criticism and other topics. Addressing a function organized by Karachi Gymkhana Library and Literary Committee to honor Dr. Jamil Jalibi, she said that the promotion of literature is very important for the betterment of society. She added that the literary people with their ideologies and views can develop the viewpoint of nation. The minister said the serial written by Dr. Jamil Jalibi on the subject of history and literature of Urdu is one of his best books, which has been published in four volumes. The event was presided over by Dr. Pirzada Qasim while Dr. Alia Imam, Sahar Ansari, Dr. Shakeel Farooqui and others also spoke on the occasion. Dr. Javed Manzar, Dr. Khalid Jamil son of Dr. Jamil Jalibi, and other prominent literary and social personalities were present in large number.
