LAHORE – The Lahore High Court (LHC) summoned Inspector General of Police (IGP) on a petition seeking details of the cases registered against Aleema Khan and Uzma Khan.
Justice Ali Zia Bajwa of LHC heard the petition filed by Aleema Khan’s son, Shiraz Khan.
At the beginning of the hearing, a law officer pleaded the court for more time to submit the case details.
The court responded that no extension could be granted and ordered the IG Punjab to appear in court and provide the details.
Subsequently, the Lahore High Court adjourned the hearing until 2pm, and summoned the IG Punjab.
The petition filed by Aleema Khan’s son Shiraz Khan stated that Aleema Khan and Uzma Khan are in physical remand in a case registered in Islamabad.
He said there are concerns that they may be re-arrested in an unknown case, and therefore, the details of the cases should be provided.
