Provincial minister of Local Government, Elections and Rural Development Sardar Faisal Amin Gandapur on Thursday awarded certificates of appreciation to senior municipal officers and officials for the best drainage arrangements during the recent floods.
Local Government Secretary Syed Zaheerul Islam Shah was also present on this occasion. The certificates distributions ceremony was held at the Local Government Secretariat here. The participants included heads TMAs, WSSCs, Area Development Authorities, Village and Neighborhood Councils of different cities who have been engaged in various field formations round the clock and served the people along with their subordinate staff.
The administrative officers of various districts, Tehsil Mayor Babuzai Swat Shahid Ali, certain members of Provincial Assembly, Director General of LG, Secretary Local Council Board and other relevant high ups also participated in the ceremony. On this occasion, the minister while commending the municipal staff performance during the difficult times, said hat he was proud of his municipal officers especially for timely helping the flood victims in the recent rains.
