The Lahore Development Authority (LDA) has decided to establish Miyawaki Urban Forest in its three schemes including Avenue One, Jubilee Town and Mohalanwal here in the City. The LDA will provide a substantial amount of Rs96 million for the project.
According to details, the Lahore Development Authority (LDA) has started concrete planning to plant dense forests in the densely populated areas of its controlled areas. The LDA will provide the huge amount for setting up Miyawaki Urban Forest to tackle the growing environmental issues.
In this regard, a working paper has been prepared to transfer Rs96 million to the PHA for execution of the project in the LDA-runner schemes.
The LDA will present the working paper in the next meeting of the governing body for a final approval.
