Sindh Governor Imran Ismail has said that the role of lawyers is very important in providing justice to the people and by holding a cricket match, the lawyers have proved that they are passionate about further promoting positive sports activities.
The organizers deserve congratulations for organizing a fun activity for lawyers away from the environment.
He expressed these views while addressing the T20 match between Sindh High Court Bar Association and Hyderabad Bar Association as a special guest.
Former Chief Justice of the Supreme Court Justice (Retd) Anwar Zaheer Jamali, Former Judge of the Supreme Court Justice (Retd) Amir Muslim Hani and former Attorney General Anwar Mansoor Khan were also present on the occasion.
Cricket is ingrained in the veins of all Pakistanis, the governor said, adding that cricket activities in the country have been revived due to PSL and the recent tour of Zimbabwe has encouraged other foreign teams to come to Pakistan.
Thank you to the Sri Lankan team who visited Pakistan. He said that cricket was affected like other sectors due to Corona but due to the vision and strategy of the Prime Minister, Pakistan was not affected by Corona like the neighboring countries. In this regard, we have to continue to work. In this regard, we can keep ourselves and our families safe from social distance, use of masks and frequent hand washing.
Congratulating on the presentation, he said that winning and losing is part of the game, the real thing is the spirit of playing the game which should always be a priority and hoped that such matches would be held in the future as well.
