ATHENS – Pakistanis living in Greece can get their passport renewed by visiting embassy in Athens, subject to completion of all codal formalities.
The fee for ordinary passport with 36 pages and five-year validity stands at 55 Euro while it is 85 Euro for 10 years validity passport.
The Government of Pakistan has introduced five and ten (10) years validity Machine Readable Passports (MRP) incorporating special security features designed to check human trafficking and forgery. It contains digitally printed personal data with a photograph in the bar code.
Documents Required for Pakistani Passport in Greece
Applicant must bring the previous Pakistani passport, valid CNIC, NICOP, at the time of process with photocopies.
No need of any form and photograph.
No need to make an appointment. Process is based on “First Come First Served Basis”.
MRP can’t be issued or renewed in mail or through a representative.
No amendment/modification is permissible in Machine Readable Passport. The Applicant should apply for a new Passport.
If date of birth in CNIC is 1965, in MRP it will be treated as 1/1/1965.
Fee Receipt (Deposit fee in nominated bank branch or machine installed in the mission (Cash only costs 2 Euros extra bank commission)).
Processing Time for Passport Issuance
Urgent category will take 2-3 weeks while regular passport will be issued in 3-4 weeks.
