LAHORE – Parts of Punjab including Lahore received rainfall of varying intensities with experts predicting the wet spell to continue on Wednesday evening/night.
As per the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD), a westerly wave prevails over upper/central parts of Pakistan.
Under these conditions, rain-wind/thunderstorms are likely in Bhakkar, Sahiwal, Mianwali, Khushab, Sargodha, Jhang, Toba Tek Singh, Faisalabad, Sialkot, Narowal, Okara, Kasur, Lahore, Gujranwala, Hafizabad, Gujarat, Mandi Bahauddin, Attock, Chakwal, Jhelum and Rawalpindi on Wednesday evening/night. Rain-wind/thunderstorms with snowfall are expected in Murree, Galyat and surroundings. Hailstorms are also expected at isolated places during the period.
On Thursday and Friday, dry weather is expected in most districts of the province. Cold and dry weather is expected in Murree, Galyat and surroundings.
Lahore’s minimum temperatures will likely remain between 11-13 degrees Celsius on Thursday and Friday.
Meanwhile, rain-wind/thunderstorms occurred at isolated places in central/southern Punjab during the last 24 hours.

Murree remained the coldest place in the country where the temperature dropped to 03 C. Relative humidity during the morning was recorded at 75 per cent.
In Lahore, minimum temperature was recorded at 14 C. Relative humidity during the morning was recorded at 80 per cent.
