LAHORE – Rain-wind/thunderstorms and isolated hailstorms are expected in Lahore and parts of Punjab on Friday evening/night.
As per the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD), a strong westerly wave prevails over most parts of Pakistan.
Under these conditions, rain-wind/thunderstorms with isolated heavy falls/hailstorms are expected in Murree, Galyat, Attock, Rawalpindi, Chakwal, Jhelum, Mandi Bahauddin, Gujrat, Gujranwala, Hafizabad, Sialkot, Narowal, Lahore, Kasur, Okara, Faisalabad, Toba Tek Singh, Jhang, Khushab, Sargodha, Mianwali, Pakpattan, Sahiwal, Dera Ghazi Khan, Rajanpur, Bhakkar, Layyah, Multan, Kot Addu, Muzaffargarh, Rahim Yar Khan, Sadiqabad, Khanpur, Bahawalpur and Bahawalnagar on Friday evening/night.
On Saturday and Sunday, rain-wind/thunderstorms are expected in Murree, Galyat, Attock, Rawalpindi, Chakwal, Jhelum, Mandi Bahauddin and Sialkot. Windstorm/hailstorm and lightning may damage standing crops, loose structures like electric poles and solar panels during the period.
Lahore’s maximum temperatures will likely remain between 32-34 degrees Celsius on Saturday and 33-35 C on Sunday.
