LAHORE – The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has predicted cold and dry weather for Lahore and most parts of Punjab during the weekend.
As per the synoptic situation, continental air prevails over most parts of Pakistan.
Under these conditions, cold and dry weather is expected in Lahore and most parts of the province on Friday night, Saturday and Sunday. Freezing weather is expected Murree, Galyat and surroundings. Shallow fog will likely prevail at few places of Punjab during morning and night hours.
In Lahore, the minimum temperature will likely remain between 06-08 degrees Celsius on Saturday and 07-09 C on Sunday.
Meanwhile, cold and dry weather prevailed over most parts of the province during the last 24 hours. Freezing weather prevailed in Murree, Galyat and surroundings. Shallow fog prevailed at isolated places of northeast Punjab.
Murree remained the coldest place in the province where mercury dropped 02 C below freezing. Relative humidity during the evening was recorded at 74 per cent.
In Lahore, minimum temperature was recorded at 07 C. Relative humidity during the evening was recorded at 74 per cent.
