LAHORE – The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has predicted mainly cold and dry weather for Lahore and parts of Punjab on Monday evening/night, Tuesday and Wednesday.
According to the synoptic situation, a westerly wave is affecting the upper parts of Pakistan. It is likely to prevail during the next 24 hours.
Under these conditions, mainly cold and dry weather is expected in Lahore and most parts of the province on Monday evening/night and the next two days. Partly cloudy weather with high rain/snowfall is likely in Murree, Galyat and the surroundings.
Fog is likely to occur at isolated places in Sialkot, Narowal, Lahore, Kasur, Sahiwal, Gujranwala, Jhelum, Faisalabad, Jhang and Bahawalpur during morning and night hours.
Lahore’s minimum temperatures will likely remain between 07-09 degrees Celsius on Tuesday and Wednesday.
Meanwhile, cloudy weather prevailed over most parts of the country during the last 24 hours. Rain-thunderstorms with snow over mountains occurred at isolated places in Sindh, upper Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa, Pothohar region, northeast Punjab, Kashmir and Gilgit Baltistan.

Murree remained the coldest place in the province where mercury dropped 03 C below freezing. Relative humidity during the morning was recorded at 82 per cent.
In Lahore, minimum temperature was recorded at 07 C. Relative humidity during the morning was recorded at 93 per cent.
