LAHORE – Cold and cloudy weather with light rain/drizzle is likely in parts of Punjab on Sunday evening/night and Monday.
As per the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD), continental air prevails over most parts of Pakistan. A shallow westerly wave also prevails over the western and upper parts of the country.
Under these weather conditions, cold and cloudy weather is expected in most districts of the province on Sunday evening/night and Monday. Very cold/cloudy weather with drizzle/light snowfall may occur at isolated places in Murree, Galiyat, and surroundings.
On Monday, very cold/cloudy weather with light rain/light snowfall may occur at isolated places in Murree, Galiyat, and the surroundings. Light rain drizzle is also likely in Sialkot, Narowal, Gujranwala, Lahore, and Kasur during the period.
Fog/smog (in patches) is likely at isolated places in Sheikhupura, Sahiwal, Faisalabad, Okara, Multan, Bahawalpur, Rahimyar Khan, Dera Ghazi Khan, Bahawalnagar and surroundings during morning/night hours.
Lahore’s minimum temperature will likely remain between 08-10°C on Monday and Tuesday.
Meanwhile, cold and dry weather prevailed in Lahore and most parts of Punjab during the last 24 hours. Very cold weather prevailed in Murree, Galiyat, and upper districts. Fog prevailed in Lahore and other plain areas.
Murree remained the coldest place in Punjab where the temperature dropped 02°C below the freezing point. Relative humidity in the morning was recorded at 36 percent.
In Lahore, minimum temperature was recorded at 08°C. Relative humidity in the morning was recorded at 87 percent.
