Anti-Theft Cell of the Karachi Water and Sewerage Corporation , in collaboration with Pakistan Rangers, carried out a successful operation against water theft in the Khairabad Manghopir area. The operation led to the demolition of four illegal hydrants that had been established for water theft. These hydrants were connected to a 12-inch water line supplying water to Yaro Goth and Umar Goth, with four illegal 3-inch connections siphoning off water. Illegal connections had been disrupting the water supply to surrounding areas, creating shortages. Following the disconnection of these unauthorized links, officials have reported a significant improvement in the water supply to the affected regions. Authorities also confirmed that legal action has been initiated against the water thieves with the relevant police station being approached for further proceedings.
