The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Culture and Tourism Authority (KPCTA) hosted a meeting with senior faculty members of Malakand University who visited the authority office upon the invitation of Mr. Bakhtiar Khan, the Director General of the authority.
This partnership aims to bring together the industry and academia to jointly work on promoting and advancing the region’s cultural and tourism offerings. The collaboration will involve joint events, research and development, resource sharing, training and capacity building, and joint marketing campaigns. While speaking on the occasion, Mr. Bakhtiar Khan highlighted the significance of bridging the gap between the university and industry sectors through linkages. He acknowledged the role of academia in providing valuable research and insights that can help shape the tourism industry.
Moreover, he stressed the need for collaboration to identify new tourism sites and to promote the unique cultural offerings of the region.
Additionally, it was announced that an MOU will soon be signed between the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Culture and Tourism Authority and Malakand University to solidify their collaboration. This MOU is expected to facilitate the development of innovative solutions and ideas that will further enhance the tourism sector in the region. The partnership is geared towards creating a sustainable tourism industry that benefits both the locals and visitors alike.
